Subsequent Series

The Officers' Superannuation Fund existed until May 1986 when the name and the membership of the fund underwent considerable change. Prior to May 1986, only officers of the Council were eligible for membership of the fund. Officers were defined as office workers. Other Council staff were known as employees: they were outdoor staff and other non-clerical staff. Employees were not entitled to join the Officers' Superannuation Fund.

In May 1986 the Officers' Superannuation Fund was renamed the City of Melbourne Superannuation Fund. From that time on employees (as defined above) were eligible for membership.

The records of the City of Melbourne Superannuation Fund remained in the custody of the Council as at January 1995.
