VPRS 17045 Minute Book and Record of Burials

Full description

This series consists of minutes of meetings of the Corinella Cemetery Trust. The minutes record the order of business, actions, discussions, decisions, and in some instances details of a list of burials. The minutes comprise the members that resigned and were appointed to the Corinella Cemetery Trust.

In accordance with section 14 of the Cemeteries Act (1958) states that the majority in number present at any meeting of the said trustees shall decide and determine all questions matters and things which may be discussed or considered at such meeting.

Record of Burials:

At the back of the Minute Book is a Record of Burials which details the people who are buried at the Corinella Cemetery. The Record of Burials consists of a number and the name of the deceased. This is another method of locating a deceased individual.

The Record of Burials number corresponds with the order number found in the Order Book (VPRS 17047) and the same receipt number located in the Receipt book (VPRS 17046).

Under the provisions of the Cemeteries Act (1890) and the Cremation Act 1903, a register of burials and cremations is required to be created by the trustees of the cemetery.
