VPRS 16885 Papers, Photographs and Memorabilia of the Royal Children's Hospital Centenary Paediatric Surgery Congress and Centenary Medical Meeting

Most of the records in this series are from the Royal Children's Hospital's Centenary Paediatric Surgery (or Surgical) Congress. This was held on 12th-20th March 1970 under the combined auspices of the Royal Children's Hospital, the Paediatric Surgical Section of the RACS and in association with the Pacific Association of Paediatric Surgeons. The records include 8 large format photograph albums containing photographs, memorabilia and correspondence that were put together by the Organising Secretary, Mr Nate Myers. They form a complete record of the event. Co-editors were Mr. Peter Jones and Mr. Durham Smith.

There are also a few records from other centenary events including the Centenary Medical Meeting that was held 9th-13th March 1970.


Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Archives. They were part of RCH accession number 2007/009.
