The files of this series were created by the Richmond Council between 1858 to 1956. They are subject based and cover a wide range of topics including projects, special events, social issues, council matters, fundraising, and records of bodies such as the Richmond Park Trust and the Weights and Measures Union. The files are arranged approximately chronologically according to the year created.
The contents of the files consists of correspondence plus related documents and working papers. On the back of much of the correspondence is a precis written by council staff at the time.
