The minutes and papers do not appear to be a formal set but may derive from individual committee members personal copies. Minutes are numbered using a single number system and range from meeting no. 43 (25/11/1964) to meeting no. 169 (19/11/1984). The first unit of this consignment contains an alphabetical subject index to minutes from meeting no. 64 (28/05/1969) to no. 141 (6/10/1980). Minutes from meeting no. 170, possibly the last committee meeting held, are contained in VPRS 16457. Early minutes dating from 1958 to 1971 are contained in VPRS 16456.The minutes contain financial records such as budgets and income and expenditure statements, as well as secretary and manager's reports, sub-committee reports, circulars, correspondence lists and programmes for the oncoming year.P0002 - Alpine Resorts CommissionThis consignment contains minutes and papers of the Alpine Resort Commission which was established on 27 March 1984 and assumed responsibility for the Falls Creek Alpine Resort on 17 April 1985. Senior Management Committee minutes are included, along with a full report from the 1987 Alpine Resorts Commission Plenary Session. Note, minutes from the Falls Creek Tourist Area Management Committee from 1985 are included in this consignment and provide information on the transfer of Falls Creek to the Alpine Resorts Commission.P0003 - Falls Creek Alpine Resort Management BoardThis consignment contains minutes and papers of the Falls Creek Alpine Resort Management Board from 1998 to 2004. Also included are papers of other committees and sub-committees of the Board including: Land Management; Audit; Finance and Marketing. The papers appear to be from a set of one of the Board members who sat on the Land Management Committee. The purpose of the minutes and papers was to record the actions and decisions determining the operation, budgeting and future planning for the development and operation of the resort, to assist in the planning and operation of the resort and to record background material and information on budgets and decisions made.

The consignments in this series are broken down into minutes and meeting papers of the different boards or committees with some overlap.

P0001 - Falls Creek Tourist Area Management Committee
This consignment contains the minutes and papers of the Falls Creek Tourist Area Management Committee. The minutes and papers do not appear to be a formal set but may derive from individual committee members personal copies. Minutes are numbered using a single number system and range from meeting no. 43 (25/11/1964) to meeting no. 169 (19/11/1984). The first unit of this consignment contains an alphabetical subject index to minutes from meeting no. 64 (28/05/1969) to no. 141 (6/10/1980). Minutes from meeting no. 170, possibly the last committee meeting held, are contained in VPRS 16457. Early minutes dating from 1958 to 1971 are contained in VPRS 16456.
