Each notice ends with a list of names and a sign-off. Following this is a series of cut and pasted copies of notices from the Gazette. These date from 1852 to 1862.Following this a new register begins. The title lists the Medical Board of Victoria and the legislation 8 Victoria 8.The register includes columns for number and date or certificate, name, qualification, country, residence and remarks.Numbers begin at 1 - the earliest date appears to be 1851, although not all early entries are dated. The last entry is no. 739 and is dated 10 June 1862.2) The numbering in the second volume begins at 1 again. The first entry is dated 16/07/1862 (no. 1) and the last entry is dated 11/07/1949 (no. 6389). The register contains columns for number of certificate, date granted, name, address and qualifications.3) The first registration is dated 8/08/1949 (no. 6390). The last registration is dated 18/12/1972 (no. 14,001). Addresses are included and are often crossed out and updated. There are red lines through some entries and annotations such as suspended, revoked, deceased. There are numbers in red next to the original registration numbers. They are single digit numbers (0-9) but their meaning is subject to further research.Addresses are recorded up until 15/07/1971 (no. 13291).4) The earliest entry is dated 18/12/1972 (no. 14002) and the last entry is dated 6/01/1986 (no. 21127).5) There is some overlap with dates from the previous volume but the numbers are consecutive. The first number is 21128 and the last number is 31403. The Medical Registers consist of 5 volumes.

1) 1851/52-1862
2) 1862-1949
3) 1949-1972
4) 1972-1986
5) 1985-1998

1) The earliest registration volume contains a variety of contents.
The date listed on the title page is 1856.
The volume begins with alphabetical entries. There are columns for name, number, date, qualifications and residence but generally the name column is the only one filled out. The earliest dates are 1844 and April 1845. Only a small amount of numbers are included - 304, 381, 449.
