Full description
The card index showed brief information about each well, each downhole survey, and what sort of assets were received. Examples of assets were reports, printed well logs, CDs (Compact Disks), computer disks and tapes, well log tapes, etc. Further information included was the location of the exploration site (in abbreviated form), the name of the operator company, the contractor companies and the status of the well, e.g., dry, plugged and abandoned, oil show, etc. Reports related to the well were listed on the card for each well. Reports, logs, maps listed on the well card for each well were physically stored in well boxes by the agency (see VPRS 16150).
