Cuttings from newspapers about the institution and about other matters considered relevant were pasted in books in chronological order as they were published in newspapers. The collection of clippings commenced when the institution was the Geelong Old Folks Home. Many of the cuttings are concerned with the progress to establish a centre for the aged. That centre became Grace McKellar House.
