This series comprises the corporate publications of the Department of Primary Industries as published on the Department's website.

The P1 consignment contains the annual reports (2002 - 2005) of the Department. The P1 consignment comprises the first ever digital transfer from the Department of Primary Industries to PROV. In 2006, a small quantity of records was transferred to "trial" the system.

At the time of the digital transfer in 2006, DPI did not have a VERS compliant record keeping system. In order to proceed with the trial transfer to the Digital Archive, DPI used the WINVEO software to create VEOs (VERS encapsulated objects) from the electronic records held in the DPI webserver. WINVEO faciliated the capture of the record keeping metadata and converted the objects into a long term preservation format. A "digital signature" was also purchased by DPI to seal and authenticate the object.
