All members of the Board, other than the Managing Director, were appointed by the Governor in Council.
The Cinemedia Corporation was subject to the general direction and control of the Minister for the Arts. The Cinemedia Corporation Act 1997 (No. 2) provided for a Board of Directors to be responsible for the management of the affairs of Cinemedia Corporation.
