Full description

This series consists of the register kept to record the receipt and return of copies of the grant of probate or letters of administration for an estate involving the transfer (or assignment) of a Crown lease, first to the executors or administrator of an estate and then, where allowed by the Land Acts, to the designated beneficiary. Also included are details of the provision of marriage certificates and birth certificates and protection orders where these were needed for proof or to assist in the administration of leases.

Details entered are the date, the correspondence number as registered at the Department of Crown Lands and Survey, the address, the nature of the document and by whom it had been sent.
