Letter books were the means by which copies of correspondence despatched from the office were retained for future reference. The letter books are not indexed from 1974 (Item 72). Those prior to that are indexed.
Items listed as 1 - 14 were destroyed by floods in 1995. Items 64 - 71, covering the period May 1973 to January 1974, were missing at the time this series text was prepared.
