Full description

This series comprises minutes of the Torquay Infant Welfare Centre Committee. During a meeting of the Torquay Branch of the CWA the President of the Geelong Branch of the Infant Welfare Association spoke of the benefits mothers received from baby health centres. It was moved that a committee be formed of the executive of the CWA and from others. The first meeting was held on 6 January 1945. This book records the minutes of that committee. At the meeting of 19 March 1973 it was decided that the Secretary should forward a letter to the Shire requesting consideration by them that the Shire take full responsibility for the Centre.
