Full description

One of the privileges under the Mines Act, conferred by the holding of a miner's right until 1935 was that of residence on up to one acre on a gold-fields area. those occupying a residence area were "deemed in law to be possessed ... of such ... parcels ... and the property therein".

This series is an index to the register kept of residence areas and their holders at Rushworth. Details given are the name of the person, the location and the page number in the Register of Residence Areas. There is no indication of the date.
