Some books may also include remarks regarding the observations and/or their location. In others there are sketches of the trigonometrical points constructed and used. Full description

This series consists of field and angle books for the original geodetic survey of Victoria and for associated projects such as the delineation of the border between New South Wales and Victoria. Details were entered into these books by the surveyors in the field. The books were then sent to Melbourne with their receipt being recorded in Unit 16 of VPRS 15314/P1 Record and Computation Books. The data was then used for the computations found in other volumes in VPRS 15314. Related maps may be found in VPRS 8168 Historic Plan Collection.
