Full description

This series consists of correspondence received by the Board of Education regarding the membership of the Local Committee of a school. Correspondence included notifications of the departure of a member (or members) of a Local Committee and notifications of the election of new members. These latter included the return of schedules certifying that the election had been conducted according to the regulations and the listing of the name, occupation, religion, place of residence and its distance from the school of the new member.

Correspondence is enclosed in a file cover giving the name and number of the school, the date of the correspondence and its date of registration, its registered number, a summary of the contents and annotations regarding action taken and the status of the school in relation to the Board.

Note: This series does not contain correspondence for all schools in existence in 1872.
