This series provides details of the payments of salaries and wages to the employees of the Closer Settlement Board (VA 2866). Employees listed include Board members, valuers, supervisors, inspectors and labourers.

Details given are the name and position of the employee, their location, the period of employment, the authorised rate of payment and amounts paid at specified dates. Other details are the status of the employee in terms of employment or promotion. It would appear as if a card system was instituted for labourers in 1925.
