Full description

This series consists of the file management details for files relating to leases still active. Leases were those under a number of Sections of Land Acts including Settlement on Lands Act 1893. It is possible that this volume was used for file management whilst details from the Register of Applications were being transferred to the subsequent card systems.

Details given are the correspondence or file number, the name and address of the lessee, the parish where the land was located and the area of the land and the file markings. These gave the details of dates when the file was amended or had papers attached to it and any file movements. Some entries have annotations relating to such things as the issuing of Crown grants.

This series was previously registered as Unit 3 of VPRS 1316/P Register of Lessees, Numerous Sections.
