Full description

These registers record information about Departmental staff. The arrangement of the information suggests that the books were a compilation of information from personnel files and other sources. Unit 1 was created in 1948. Unit 2 was created in 1952. Recorded information in relation to the majority of staff is to be found in both books. Information about some staff is to be found in one book only. An employee who commenced after 1948 would be found n Unit 2 only, for example. The registers record the following information:
- name
- date of birth
- file number
- rank or office
- salary details
- where stationed and when
- commendations, censures and general remarks
- leave details
- resignation dates
