VPRS 14775 Outward Correspondence

This series consists of copies of outward correspondence created by the South Gippsland Water Board (VA 2677) and its successor, the South Gippsland Region Water Authority (VA 4239).

Retention of copies of outward correspondence despatched from the office allows for future reference.

It appears that this system of correspondence registration was abandoned in June 1996 and replaced by an in-house electronic system.

South Gippsland Water Board assumed responsibility over the functions and regions of Foster Sewerage Authority (VA 1979), Foster Waterworks Trust (VA 2090) Fish Creek Waterworks Trust (VA 2088), Toora Waterworks Trust (VA 2163) and Toora Sewerage Authority (VA 2037) in 1984. Series created by these agencies should be checked for correspondence covering the functions of South Gippsland Water Board before 1984. These include VPRS 14875 Outward Letter Books, VPRS 14786 Outward Correspondence, VPRS 14766 Outward Letter Books, VPRS 14784 Outward Correspondence, and VPRS 14774 Outward Correspondence.
