VPRS 14743 Photo Negatives, Sequentially Numbered

These records are the negatives controlled by the Photo Register VPRS 14742. The agency's principal registration system for photographs is based around this series of photo negatives. The negatives are held in envelopes, twenty negatives per envelope. The range number of the negatives contained within each envelope is recorded on the outside of the envelope. Each negative has a number containing four digits.

These records were the responsibility of the Publications and Information section. The aim of that section was to promote soil conservation and the Authority. The use of photography assisted in that purpose. Specifically, the section was required to develop and maintain a photographic record of activities including field days, structures, types of soil erosion and soil conservation activities of all kinds.
