This series consists of mayoral correspondence from the Shire of Diamond Valley (VA 717).

The correspondence in these outward letter books relates to the acceptance and refusal of official invitations; responses to correspondence from organizations and individuals who have asked the Lord Mayor to represent them in a particular cause; responses to requests for financial grants for charitable causes; copies of letters of thanks to people and organizations for honouring the Lord Mayor, for example by electing him as their patron; and copies of letters from the Lord Mayor acting as an advocate on behalf of the Council.
