Full description

This series comprised an index to the general correspondence files registered and maintained in a multiple number system, see VPRS 8890. Many files in VPRS 8890 were top-numbered in to the new annual single number system in c.1985, see VPRS 11082. This index was annotated to indicate the new file number. The index was also annotated to indicate when a file was cancelled or destroyed. Many files were also marked "SS" which probably indicated files sent to secondary storage.
