VPRS 14480 Railway Bridge Conference Proceedings

Full description

This series comprises a copy of proceedings of a conference of representatives of the Melbourne City Council, the Borough Council of Footscray, and the Shire Councils of Wyndham and Braybrook, 14 November 1873, to settle the Terms of Guarantee as to Cost of Bridge over Railway Line at North Melbourne.

The Conference was held at the Melbourne Town Hall and the Chairperson was the Mayor of Melbourne. It is not known if this document was part of the Melbourne City Council's record keeping system or the Railway Department' record keeping system.

The item was purchased by the Public Record Office Victoria at Charles Leski Auctions from the Norm De Pomeroy Collection of Railway Memorabilia (Lot No 1077) in May 2004.
