This series contains the minutes of meetings held by Board of Advice No 146 for the School District, Shire of Glenelg.

The minutes for this Board are in the form of a note book. Matters discussed relate to the duties of the Board as set out in Section 15 the Education Act 1872. These included responsibility for determining and reporting on the use of school buildings on non school days/hours, the condition of the school buildings and premises, school requirements and attendance of local children at the schools.

The period covered by this series spans the entire life of this particular Board of Advice. All Boards of Advice were replaced by School Committees established within each individual school by the provisions of the Education Act 1910.

This series was previously registered as Unit 2 of VPPRS 1403 / P Minute and Letter Book.
