This series contains lists of special surveys done so land could be purchased from the Crown or listing lands available for sale at 20 shillings per acre having been measured and advertised in the Government Notices as being available for sale.

Details listed include the name of the applicant, the location and extent of the land, details of dates of advertisement and / or purchase and may include references to correspondence and to the person who performed a survey.
