Full description

This series contains lists of grants made for public purposes. These purposes included those for church facilities for the various denominations, for schools (National and Denominational) and for civic purposes such as cemeteries and market sites as well as land for the Hobson Bay Railway. Details given are of the locality, the area and size of the land, the dates of applications and grants and may include references to correspondence and names of trustees or grantees. Also included in these volumes are detailed survey descriptions of the pieces of land granted.
