This series was created to record all reported railway accidents involving employees of the Rolling Stock Branch. The Register recorded details including:

Name of the employee
Date of accident
Place of accident
Nature, cause and result of accident (killed, injured, negligence)

A typed copy of a statement from the Chief Mechanical Engineer to the Secretary in respect of accidents to employees in the Rolling Stock Branch directly associated with train working or the movement of rolling stock involving incapacity from duty for the year 1947 is located within the volume.
