Full description

This is an artificial series created by Public Record Office Victoria. It consists of records that were taken into PROV custody at the same time as the Gas and Fuel Archival Collection (VPRS 13141).

It is assumed that some of these records were meant to form part of the Archival Collection, but were yet to be processed or entered into the database. However, some items could also have been in everyday use in the Gas and Fuel Corporation's office space at the Flinders Street towers, and placed at the same storage facility when vacating the buildings in 1996. This assumption is based on the number of personal filing systems evident in the records.

The series includes a wide variety of records in a number of formats. Some records were labelled, but none were labelled in the same way as the records of the Gas and Fuel Archival Collection
