He brought copies of plans and technical drawings of the Westport Mine with him when he took on his new position. Full description

The collection was reprocessed by PROV volunteers in late 2011 and has been arranged into four series. Broadly speaking:

VPRS 12982 consists of drawings of the design and maintenance of the Power House at Wonthaggi, and graphs to chart progress of work.

VPRS 12983 consists of technical drawings of West Port Mine (New Zealand) and other Australian and overseas mines.

VPRS 12984 consists of drawings relating directly to the SCM at Wonthaggi. Subjects include general engineering drawings of mines, plants, equipment and buildings (P1); geology, boring and sections (P2); drainage and sidings (P3); and land issues, accidents, incidents and other miscellaneous drawings (P4).

VPRS 16791 consists of any material not consistent with the subject areas of VPRS 12982, 12983 and 12984.


How this series was compiled:
