Reporting to the Colonial Secretary, the Colonial Engineer along with the Superintendent of Bridges, was responsible for the roads and bridges of the colony of Victoria until the establishment of the Central Road Board in 1853.This series contains outward correspondence and memoranda of the Colonial Engineer concerned with roads, bridges and jetties. Contents include matters to do with tenders and payments and personnel matters.
The P1 consignment of VPRS 12655 was previously registered as Unit 2 of VPRS 1122 Outward Registered Correspondence. It was reserialised in 2001 as part of the ARAD Project.
