Full description

This series consists of minutes created to record the meetings of the Met Management Group. The Met was the arm of the Public Transport Corporation (PTC VA 2984) responsible for the management of all metropolitan rail, tram and bus services. In 1990 an agreement was reached between the PTC and private bus operators to rationalise metropolitan bus services.

The Transport (Amendment) Act 1989 (No. 44 of 1989), established the PTC and led to considerable administrative changes during 1989/1990, as the State Transport Authority (STA) and Melbourne Transit Authority (MTA) were abolished.
