Full description

The records in this series were created by the Victorian Railways (VA 2870) as part of its preparations for special events such as Royal Visits. The records include detailed special timetables, publicity material, diaries, copies of correspondence, details of itineraries, official programmes and schedules, posters, newspaper articles, photographs and evaluation reports. Unit 8 of the P0001 consignment includes similar material relating to the 1908 Visit of the American Fleet.

The P4 consignment was purchased by the Public Record Office Victoria at the Charles Leski Auctions from the Norm De Pomeroy Collection of Railway Memorabilia in May 2004.
