Under Section 17 of Insolvency Act 1897 (Section 74 Insolvency Act 1915) persons who wished and were able to act as trustees for insolvent estates applied to be registered as qualified to be appointed to the office of trustee under the Insolvency Acts. Those gaining this appointment were then included in the Court of Insolvency Register of Trustees with details being entered under the headings of Court (of application); Trustees name; Address; Date of Application; Date of Order for Registration; Date of Registration; Date of Order for Cancellation and Date of Cancellation. This was a record whose details were applicable throughout the State.
