This series consists of transcripts of evidence given before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways in 1927, in relation to a dispute between Victorian Railways and the Geelong Harbour Trust Commissioners, over the provision and maintenance of railway facilities in the Port of Geelong.

Alongside the transcripts of the evidence given by the Melbourne Harbour Trust Commissioners and the Geelong Harbour Trust Commissioners, the comments and responses of the Victorian Railways Commissioners have been recorded.

In addition to transcripts of what was said before the Standing Committee by the Chairman of the Geelong Harbour Trust Commissioners and the Chairman of the Melbourne Harbour Trust Commissioners, copies of other evidence are included in this series, such as correspondence, Orders-in-Council, agreements, etc.
