Full description

The Lifts and Cranes Act 1967 (No.7629) provided for the safe construction, installation and use of lifts, cranes, and amusement structures.

In this regard, it provided for:
- the appointment of inspectors and provision for inspections
- the issue of certificates of competency to lift mechanics, crane drivers and riggers
- safety precautions to be taken in the manufacture and installation of lifts, cranes and amusement structures
- safety precautions in the operation of lifts, cranes and amusement structures
- registration of lifts, cranes and amusement structures.

This volume registers the suitably qualified Riggers. A certificate of competency was issued bearing the registration number.
