VPRS 12270 Register of Pensions

Full description

The Superannuation Act 1925 established the Superannuation Fund into which compulsory and additional contributions from Victorian Government employees were paid into. Subsequently once an employee became eligible to receive a pension, payments were appropriated from this Fund.

This series is entitled Register though it would be more accurately described as a journal of fortnightly payments made from the Fund to eligible pensioners. It provides the following details:

Name of pensioner
Date of birth
Date of first contribution to fund
Fortnightly entry of payment
