The Latrobe Valley Development Advisory Committee, with the Central Planning Authority operated under the auspices of the Division of State development, Premiers Department (VA 2717). Their function was to advise on the development of the Latrobe Valley and its resources in a period when development and decentralisation were to be planned on a regional basis.

The records in this series are the official Minutes of Meetings of that Committee. Further information on the work of this Committee may be found in VPRS 10256 Correspondence Files (indexed by VPRS 3680 File Registration Cards) and VPRS 12157 Recommendations Submitted to the Premier.
