Full description

The Latrobe Valley Development Advisory Committee, with the Central Planning Authority operated under the auspices of the Division of State Development, Premiers Department (VA 2717). Their function was to advise on the development of the Latrobe Valley and its resources in a period when development and decentralisation were to be planned on a regional basis.

This series contains the first one hundred recommendations submitted to the Premier by the Latrobe Valley Development Advisory Committee following upon their investigations and deliberations. These recommendations are endorsed as having been approved by the Premier. Details of the decision-making process may be found in VPRS 12159 Minute Books.
