VPRS 12151 Enrolment Statistics for Government Schools

Full description

The records show enrolment numbers for government primary, post-primary and special schools in Victoria. They are organised by Education Department region. Totals are shown for each school category; each region; all regions combined; and for each city and shire within a region. Separate totals are shown throughout for boys and girls.

The figures were made up to August of each year and were most likely compiled as part of the Departments annual census of schools. Researchers are advised that age/grade statistics for the period covered by this series (and other years) can be found in VPRS 11390.

The regions (since restructured) are:

Barwon, Central Highlands, Corangamite, East Gippsland, West Gippsland, Glenelg, Goulburn, Loddon, Mallee, Port Phillip, Upper Goulburn, Upper Murray and Wimmera.
