This series consists of inward correspondence received by William David Beazley (1854-1912) upon his appointment to the position of Speaker of the Legislative Assembly in 1903. The correspondence received has been pasted into a scrap book.

Beazley received letters of congratulation from the then-Prime Minister Barton, and other State and Commonwealth politicians, from agencies including the Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works and Victoria Police, from Trades Hall and various unions, the Convent of the Good Shepherd, football clubs, and other colleagues and friends.
