Full description

This series records hire purchase agreements made between the Closer Settlement Board (and later Commission) and settlers under the Closer Settlement and Discharged Soldiers Settlement Acts. Settlers could acquire tools and farm equipment and household necessities through these agreements. Details given in the register are the number of the agreement, the date of the entry in the register, the Correspondence Number and/or the Discharged Soldiers Lease Number, the articles included in the agreement, remarks and the date of discharge of the agreement.
