This series consists of volumes containing duplicate copies of outward correspondence from the Geelong Harbour Trust Commissioners (VA 1425) for the period 1905 to 1947. The letters relate to the entire range of business conducted by the Harbour Trust Commissioners.

Related inward and copies of outward correspondence are located in VPRS 11470 General Correspondence Subject Files.

The agency ceased to maintain separate volumes of duplicate outward letters after 1947. From 1948 to 1992 copies of letters despatched were registered using a sequential numbering system in VPRS 11472 Register of Outward Correspondence and were filed on General Correspondence Subject Files VPRS 11470.
