The series content relates to staffing and personnel issues, finance, taxation, accommodation, furniture and equipment, press releases, social functions, legislation, Commission meetings, committee meetings, education for women and girls, family violence, regional education, relations with the Ministry of Education, State Training Board and other public service agencies; Colleges and Universities - policy, legislation, performance, finance, planning, capital works, courses and students.The series includes files relating to La Trobe University, Deakin University, Monash University, Ballarat University College, University College North West - Bendigo, Hawthorn Institute of Education, Australian Catholic University, Phillip Institute of Technology, Swinburne Institute of Technology, University of Melbourne, Victoria College, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Victorian College of Agriculture and Horticulture, Victorian College of Pharmacy, Victorian College of the Arts, Wodonga Institute of Tertiary Education and providers of education.Some of VPSECs correspondence and ministerial briefings from this period were not placed in this series at the time of creation. They have been transferred as a separate series, see VPRS 11418 Dr Ian Allens Files - Victorian Post-Secondary Education Commission & Policy and Planning Division. This series comprises general subject correspondence files created by the Victorian Post Secondary Education Commission (VPSEC), 1991-1993. The series documents the planning, administration, development and co-ordination of the provision of post-secondary education in Victoria.
