This series comprises general subject correspondence files created by the Technical and Further Education (TAFE) Accreditation Board.
The TAFE Accreditation Board was established under the Post-Secondary Education (Amendment) Act 1983, proclaimed on 28 June 1983. The TAFE Accreditation Board was responsible for the accreditation of all statewide courses in TAFE. The purpose of the Board was to provide the Minister for Education and the community with an independent assessment of courses as to their quality and standard. Courses of study were referred to the TAFE Accreditation Board by the TAFE Board.
This series documents the role of the Board, accreditation policies, procedures, TAFE curriculum development and accreditation, and the national accreditation of TAFE awards.
