Full description


The general function of the Board of Studies (Secondary) was to exercise an oversight over the various Departmental qualifications available to secondary teachers. The Board would advise the Director-General on such matters as the parity and status of courses, and the equivalence of standards arising from the number and diversity of courses and institutions.

The Board was to have a special responsibility in advising the Director-General on regulations relating to qualifications held by secondary teachers (and some technical teachers).
