This series consists of the minutes and background papers of the Colleges Committee of the La Trobe University. The Committee was responsible for the development of policy concerning the provision and management of residential colleges and student accommodation on the Universitys campuses.

Agenda, minutes and background papers (also known as business papers) were created for numerous committees of the La Trobe University. Agenda were not routinely retained, and the minutes and papers have been bound together without any form of index. The minutes in this series are believed to be the official record of proceedings at La Trobe University Colleges Committee meetings, although not all minutes may be signed.
