This series consists of the minutes and background papers of the La Trobe University Advisory Committee on Academic Developments. The Committee was formed to consider academic standards, and to formulate policies on academic standards for the University.

Agenda, minutes and background papers (also known as business papers) were created for numerous committees of the La Trobe University. Agenda were not routinely retained, and the minutes and papers have been bound together without any form of index. The minutes in this series are believed to be the official record of proceedings at meetings of the La Trobe University Advisory Committee on Academic Developments, although not all minutes may be signed.
