This series consists of the minutes and background papers of the Safety Committee of the La Trobe University. The Safety Committee was responsible for the development and monitoring of policies and procedures governing the safety of University employees and visitors.

Agenda, minutes and background papers (also known as business papers) were created for numerous committees of the La Trobe University. Agenda papers were not routinely retained, and the minutes and business papers have been bound together without any form of index. The minutes in this series are believed to be the official record of proceedings at La Trobe University Safety Committee meetings, although not all minutes may be signed.
