This series consists of newspaper cuttings of local and overseas press regarding the Queen of the Pacific pageant held in conjunction with the Melbourne Moomba Festival. The Queen of the Pacific Pageant was a female beauty quest.

Aspects of the quest covered in the newspapers at the time are photographs and articles about the contestants, announcement of quest winners, and foreign press cuttings of winners' tours through Pacific nations.

Researchers should note that cuttings cover the period 1970 and 1978. The Queen of the Pacific quest may have been discontinued around 1978.

This sereis is attributed to VA 2371 Melbourne Moomba Festival Limited at this stage, (as at April 2007). However, further research is required.
